Mechanism of action:

Rough, flaky skin often indicates a violation of natural keratinization, which is observed in oily and dehydrated skin (seborrhoea sicca). In such cases, the keratinocytes and skin barrier cannot form in a healthy and balanced manner. Calcium, which is the main regulator of epidermal cell development, plays a key role. Its high concentration in sicca calcium serum supports the differentiation phase of keratinocytes, returning processes disturbed by excessive keratinization to natural balance. The surface of the skin becomes evenly smooth and does not flake.

Calcium also improves the formation of lipids in the stratum corneum (such as ceramides, phospholipids, sphingolipids), which contributes to the proper development of the skin's protective barrier. This significantly reduces or stops transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
